London just hits different in spring
The parks alone are worth the trip. Hyde Park was stunning with everything in bloom. Great food, great people-watching, and so much to do without spending a fortune. Loved every bit of it.
History everywhere you look
As someone who loves history, London is just incredible. The Tower of London blew my mind - layers of stories packed into one place. Museums are free which is a massive bonus. The city is big but easy enough to navigate.
Brilliant city for a long weekend
Covent Garden is an absolute must. Street performers, great cafes, interesting shops - you could spend hours just wandering that area. Getting around on the Tube is straightforward once you get the hang of it. Really enjoyable trip overall.
So much culture packed into one city
The National Gallery alone could take up a whole day. London has this incredible range of things to see and do - world-class art, theatre, markets. Portobello Road on a weekend is something else entirely. Good value if you plan ahead.
Great for a family trip
Took the kids and they absolutely loved it. The Natural History Museum kept them busy for hours and it's completely free. The city is very family-friendly and public transport was easier than expected with a stroller. Everyone was helpful and polite.
Christmas in London is unreal
Oxford Street all lit up for Christmas is genuinely spectacular. The whole city feels electric in December - markets, lights, busy shops everywhere. We had a proper full English breakfast at a little café in Shoreditch and it was the best way to start the day.
